We are design chameleons. We don't believe in pushing our aesthetic to our clients and instead love to work with them to discover their style.
We are also big believers in budgeting. If you work with us, get ready to do a deep dive into your project's budget before we begin.
Oh, and did we forget to mention: we love what we do and like to have fun! Our goal is to make your project enjoyable and take the stress out of your design journey.
Herringbone & Brass is a Boston-based interior design studio and boutique consultancy specializing in luxury homes and commercial spaces. We believe that the layers that embellish a home — wallpaper, drapes, rugs, furniture — can tell a personal story and transform how a space feels and functions.
Sylvia founded Herringbone & Brass when she realized that styling and interior design were intricate components of her work in luxury real estate. She oversees operations at H&B and enjoys staying close to all of the firm's projects.
Sylvia has renovated, built and sold multiple luxury properties in Boston and Miami. She's a licensed real estate agent and has a strong track record of advising clients on the best strategy to improve their property (via styling, staging or through minor renovations) as they're getting ready to put it on the market. If you're thinking about selling your home, contact Sylvia for a complimentary brainstorm session.
Prior to joining HB in 2024, Virginia spent 10 years as Senior Designer at Daher Interior Design. She's worked on 40 + residential projects ranging in size from 19,000 sqft to 1,500 sqft.
Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts from New England College with a concentration in painting, and a Bachelor of Interior Design from The Art Institutes in Boston. She started out in commercial design, and has worked on projects ranging from health care offices, creative branding offices, banks and Starbucks buildouts, to name a few.
Virginia believes design is done with a strong team: no one person creates a single design of a space; it is teamwork and creativity that brings the project to the finish line in a successful manner.
